You put your heart into your Showit template, launched it to the world, and… nothing. 😩 No sales. No traffic. Maybe a few clicks. It’s discouraging, but it’s also totally normal—and 100% fixable.
Here’s the thing: most of the time, it’s not that your template isn’t good. It’s that something small is getting in the way. Let’s break down a few common reasons why templates don’t sell—and what you can do about it.

1. Your Template Doesn’t Solve a Specific Problem
If your product is too general (“a beautiful modern website”), it won’t connect. People are looking for solutions. Your dream buyer wants to feel like the template was made just for them.
Try this:
- Get super niche: create a template just for brand photographers or business coaches
- Call out the transformation: what will this template help them do?
- Update your product page with clear, benefit-driven language
Inside Superhero Academy, I teach how to position your templates so they speak directly to your dream customers.
2. You’re Not Showing Off Your Template Enough
If your product page only has a couple of screenshots and a short description, you’re leaving money on the table. People need to see it to believe it.
Add:
- A video walkthrough of the template
- More mockups (mobile and desktop)
- Callouts for each section (so people know what’s included)
You can use my CANVAS Pro Collection to build these kinds of features quickly.
3. No One Knows It Exists (Yet)
This one stings—but it’s often the truth. If you aren’t marketing your template consistently, people won’t find it.
Focus on:
- Pinterest (create a few pin graphics and schedule them out)
- A blog post that links to your template
- Getting it listed on Etsy for search traffic
And if you need help with the marketing side, that’s a core part of the strategy I teach inside Superhero Academy.
4. Your Price Isn’t Matching the Perceived Value
Sometimes people don’t buy because the price feels off—not necessarily too high, but not justified.
Boost the perceived value by:
- Showing everything that’s included
- Talking about the results your buyer can expect
- Adding testimonials or social proof if you’ve got it
If you’re selling at premium pricing, your presentation needs to match.
5. You Just Launched (and It Takes Time!)
Remember: big brands launch with huge budgets and massive teams. You’re doing this solo (or small), and momentum takes time.
The goal isn’t overnight success—it’s to create consistent, scalable income. And once your first template starts selling? You can build a whole shop around what’s working.
Don’t Give Up. Get Strategic ✨
You’re not doing anything wrong—you just need the right tools and tweaks to turn your shop into a steady stream of sales.
Inside Superhero Academy, I walk you through what to do when things feel slow:
- How to rework your listings for more conversions
- How to promote without feeling salesy
- How to build momentum on platforms like Pinterest and Etsy
Take a breath, regroup, and refocus. You’ve got this. 💛
