Want to boost your Pinterest views fast? In the last 90 days, my account made 1.4 million impressions which effortlessly increased my website visits and skyrocketed my template sales. And THIS is the exact strategy I used to do it.
If you run a website template shop or offer web design services in 2026, you’ve probably noticed something frustrating: social media reach feels unpredictable, paid ads get expensive fast, and launching new products can feel like talking to an empty room.
But the good news is Pinterest works differently, and it’s free — and that’s exactly why it’s one of the most powerful growth platforms available to web designers right now, and the one you should be prioritizing!
Here’s the new Pinterest strategy web designers (including myself!) are consistently using to reach 1 million + monthly views to make long-term traffic engine for their template shops.
Focus Your Ad Spend Primarily on Pinterest
Most designers automatically put ad budget into Instagram or Google Ads. But Pinterest ads outperform them in one crucial way: they’re evergreen.
A promoted pin doesn’t just work while you’re paying for it. Once it gains engagement, saves, and clicks, Pinterest continues distributing it organically for months or even years after the ad stops running. Which means:
- One strong pin can drive traffic long after your campaign ends
- Older content continues ranking in search results
- Ad spend compounds instead of resetting every month
Entrepreneurs browsing Pinterest already have purchase intent. They’re planning launches, rebrands, or new businesses — which makes Pinterest traffic significantly warmer than audiences on Instagram and social media.
Instead of spreading your budget thinly across multiple platforms, the most successful template shop owners now treat Pinterest as their primary paid discovery channel. And you don’t need a high ad spend – I only spend 200-400$ a month for millions of impressions, which I’ll make back in just one template sale.
Create Organic Pins That Focus on Tips and Saveable Content — Not Products
One of the biggest mistakes web designers make is posting pins that only promote products, but Pinterest users might not be browsing to shop immediately. For example, if a new entrepreneur is planning a launch, they might not be looking for a template yet and might be browsing for branding fonts and colors. Therefore, they could pin a graphic about fonts and colors and be directed to your website and shop via your blog without feeling like they’re being sold to.
Saveable content performs dramatically better – many of my template pins don’t even break 2,000 views, but my fonts/palettes pins can reach 500k – and this is because educational and inspirational pins get saved repeatedly, which signals to the Pinterest algorithm that your content is valuable.
For template shop owners, this strategy does two important things:
- Builds authority as a web design expert
- Introduces your brand before users are ready to buy
The more somebody sees the name of your business, the bigger and more reputable they think you are, which is a HUGE factor in why a customer might choose you over other designers. By the time someone needs a template, you’re already a name they’re familiar with.
My new Pinterest pin strategy is 80% value-driven pins, 20% promotional and product pins.
Use Pinterest Pins to Build Your Email List with Freebies
I noticed my Pinterest views got a huge boost when I started pinning my Free Courses for Web Designers. The main reason entrepreneurs use Pinterest is because they’re searching for free inspiration and value, so a freebie is always going to perform well. It’s an incredible platform for growing an email list because entrepreneurs arrive in a learning and planning mindset, not a scrolling mindset.
Instead of sending every pin to a sales page, create pins that promote a valuable free resource such as:
- Free Mini Courses (which link to paid courses)
- Free Brand guides
- Free mini website templates (This is my most successful freebie and gets me hundreds of thousands of clicks per month!)
That’s all there is to creating a Million-view Pinterest Strategy in 2026!
If you’re just starting out and struggling with getting your web design business off the ground I have a FREE Beginner Course on how to kickstart your career as a web designer with zero experience, and if you’re a designer who’s dreaming of scaling your business and needs support in creating a plan that will earn you your first six-figures as a web designer and template shop owner, my FREE Fast Track to a Profitable Template Shop course is EXACTLY what you need.
